Anniversary of Korea's Liberation Observed Abroad
Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- Events such as seminar, book and photo exhibition and film shows were held in India, Bangladesh and Uganda between August 7 and 11 to mark the 72nd anniversary of Korea's liberation.

On display at their venues were photos showing the revolutionary careers and undying feats of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the revolutionary activities of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

And there were books introducing the exploits of the peerlessly great men of Mt Paektu and pictures showing the achievements made by the Korean people in building a socialist power.

S. P. Pathak, chairman of the Indian Society for the Study of Works of Kim Jong Il, noted that Kim Il Sung embarked upon the road of revolution in his teens to liberate Korea from the Japanese imperialists' occupation.

Vipin Gupta, chairman of the Juche Philosophy Study Committee of India, said that thanks to Kim Il Sung, the Korean people could put an end to their fate of statelessness which had lasted for decades.

Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, Mostafa Jamal Haider, secretary general of the Bangladesh Jatiya Party, and other speakers stressed that August 15 is a historic day when the Korean people came to enjoy an independent and dignified life as the masters of their destiny, state and society free from the colonial slavery of the Japanese imperialists.

Personages of the Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement and the Ugandan National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea praised Kim Il Sung's feats for Korea's liberation, noting that the precious traditions of the Korean revolution established in the bloody days of anti-Japanese struggle are still given steady continuity.
