The statement said that the success is a great victory of the Workers' Party of Korea's line of simultaneously developing the two fronts and a great event as it laid a firm guarantee for reliably defending the peace and security on the Korean peninsula. It went on:

The arbitrary practice of the U.S. can never work on the DPRK which towered as a nuclear power in the East.

No force can check the victorious advance of the DPRK.

The U.S. should refrain from making futile moves while vociferating about sanctions and pressure, recognize the strategic position of socialist Korea and make a switchover in its policy toward the DPRK.

Together with the world progressives loving justice and aspiring after independence, we extend full support and firm solidarity to the self-defensive steps taken by the DPRK to resolutely smash all kinds of sanctions and pressure of the U.S. and its vassal forces and defend the country's sovereignty and the nation's right to existence as well as the regional peace and security.
