UNSC's Anti-DPRK "Resolution" Rejected Abroad

Pyongyang, August 19 (KCNA) -- Bodies of the Czech Republic and Russia issued statements denouncing the UNSC "sanctions resolution" against the DPRK between Aug. 7 and 11. The Paektusan Czech-Korean Friendship Association said: We flatly reject the "sanctions resolution" cooked up at the UN. The adoption of the "resolution" once again proved that the UNSC has turned into a puppet of the U.S. imperialism, the most brutal aggressor and war provoker. The "sanctions resolution" is the height of unreasonable discrimination, double standards and hypocrisy. Some member states of the UNSC are possessed of ICBMs and nukes. They had better scrap their nukes and missiles before criticizing the DPRK. The "sanctions resolution" was cooked for the imperialists and other reactionary forces seeking to topple the DPRK's socialist system, not for disarmament and peace. We appeal to the world progressives to reject the "resolution" and intensify the activities for solidarity with the Korean people. The Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea strongly urged the UNSC to repeal the "sanctions resolution" aimed at completely blocking the economic development and the improvement of the people's standard of living in the DPRK, saying that the DPRK's ICBM test-launch was part of the legitimate measures to defend itself from the imperialists' aggression. The Central Committee of the Young Lenin Communist League of the Russian Federation bitterly denounced the imperialists for faulting the DPRK's independent policy of national defense. |
