Korea's Liberation Celebrated in Germany

Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- A seminar and book and photo exhibition and solidarity meeting were held in Berlin and other places of Germany from Aug. 5 to 14 in celebration of the 72nd anniversary of Korea's liberation. Attending them were public figures and citizens of Germany. Arnulf Piontec, chief of the Berlin Juche Idea Study Group of Germany, said that President Kim Il Sung liberated Korea from the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists and founded a genuine people's country in Korea. He went on: Today the DPRK has emerged as a fully-fledged nuclear power with H-bombs and ICBMs under the wise guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. The situation clearly shows how just the country's steps to bolster up its nuclear deterrent for self-defense are. We will as ever fully support the just cause of the Korean people. Thomas Lichter, vice-chairman of the Federal Republic of Germany-DPRK Association, said that the U.S. and the vassal forces are escalating the sanctions and pressure on the DPRK to extremely strain the situation but the final victory is in store for the DPRK. Torsten Schoevitz, chairman of the Communist Party of Germany and chief of the Group for the Study of the Works of Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il, said that the DPRK, which is firmly safeguarding the cause of socialism and victoriously advancing it, standing up against the imperialist allied forces led by the U.S., has become a beacon of hope for the world progressives. Manfred Schneider, chief of the German Group for the Study of Korean Culture, said that the world is admiring the DPRK which has emerged as a nuclear power of Juche and no one can block its advance. Messages of greeting to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events. |
