They laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statue of President Kim Il Sung at the monument and paid tribute to him.

At the meeting a reporter and speakers stressed the need to deeply grasp the greatness of the three commanders of Mt Paektu and the Songun revolutionary history through the study tour and more firmly arm themselves with the revolutionary traditions of Mt. Paektu.

They said that they should positively follow patriotism, comradeship and revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and revolutionary optimism of the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners and thus fully demonstrate the mettle of the working class of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in the drive for building a socialist power.

After the meeting the officials went round the Monument to the Victorious Battle of Pochonbo.
