Om Yun Chol of the DPRK placed first in the men's 56kg of weightlifting, with lift of 129kg in the snatch and 165kg in the jerk.

Ri Song Gum took the first place in the women's weightlifting 48kg, by lifting 86kg in the snatch and 107kg in the jerk, 193kg in total.

Sin Chol Bom bagged gold medal with lift of 303kg in total in the men's weightlifting 62kg.

Hyon Il Myong and Ri Hyon Ju came second in the diving men's 10 meters synchro platform and Choe Un Gyong in the women's 1 meter springboard diving.
