Symposium on THAAD Impact on Public Environment in S. Korea Foiled

| Pyongyang, August 22 (KCNA) -- Organizations against THAAD and citizens of south Korea reportedly foiled a symposium on impact of THAAD on public environment which the Defense Ministry was going to hold in Songju County, North Kyongsang Province on August 17. They held a press conference outside Chojon-myon office and denounced the unilateral symposium planned by the Defense Ministry. The speakers called for holding a symposium involving citizens after halting the THAAD operation, site construction and additional deployment. After the press conference they sealed off the entrance of the office and strongly protested against the symposium as an official concerned of the Defense Ministry appeared at the entrance to the office for the symposium. |
