Pyongyang, August 23 (KCNA) -- Political parties and organizations of DR Congo and Nigeria denounced the UNSC's anti-DPRK "sanctions resolution" on August 10 and 11. The Communist Party of DR Congo sent a letter to the secretary general of the United Nations in which it said that the world was greatly infuriated by the UNSC's "sanctions resolution" 2371 against the DPRK. The UN "sanctions resolution" is the outcome of the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK. The DPRK's access to nukes is an entirely just measure to defend itself from the U.S. high-handed and arbitrary practices. The U.S. violence and threat should be stopped at once. The UNSC is required to behave wisely in adopting a resolution. The National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of DR Congo and the DR Congo-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association issued a solidarity statement. It said: We strongly denounce another anti-DPRK "sanctions resolution" masterminded by the U.S. as a brutal violation of a sovereign state's rights to independence, existence and development. We fully support the stand of the DPRK which declared that as long as the U.S. hostile policy and nuclear threat continue, the DPRK, no matter what others may say, will neither place its self-defensive nuclear deterrence on the negotiating table nor flinch even an inch from the road already chosen by itself, the road of bolstering up its nuclear force. The People's Progressive Party of Nigeria in a statement also expressed full support to the DPRK government's statement and appealed to the world progressives to join the solidarity actions to support the just cause of the Korean people. |
