Rodong Sinmun Thursday in a commentary says in this regard:

The UN Security Council originally came into the existence for global peace and security, not as a means for high-handed and arbitrary practices of nuclear powers.

Those countries which conduct most of the nuclear tests in the world and launch ICBM regardless of time while seeking the undisguised ambition to maintain the nuclear hegemony forever cooked up the "resolutions" which brought charges against the DPRK's steps to bolster up nuclear force for self-defense, and slapped sanctions under the pretext of "violation". This is an expression of the brigandish double-standards.

The world's nuclear powers include a country which realized its dream of nuclear weapons states despite sanctions and pressure, while asserting that "they would have access to nukes even by selling trousers" and a country which is still exposed to the U.S. persistent sanctions. Yet, they joined in the U.S. sanctions racket while groundlessly pulling up the DPRK's nukes and test-fire of ICBM without dignity, oblivious of their situations in the past and today.

This implies that the UNSC has turned into a bargaining ground of big powers for seeking their interests including the U.S. and into a political apparatus of the White House working for its hostile policy toward the DPRK.

The universally recognized principles of international relations have openly been ignored owing to the tyrannical moves of the U.S.-led imperialist forces, and justice has been interpreted as injustice in the interests of nuclear powers.

This present situation proves once again that only when one has strong power, one can have a say on the international arena and will be able to frustrate the nuclear powers' extreme selfish and hegemonic ambition, and protect oneself and defend justice and principle of the international relations.
