Korea's Liberation Day Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- Seminars, remembrance meetings, book exhibitions and film shows were held in Thailand, Russia and Nigeria between August 6 and 15 to mark the 72nd anniversary of Korea's liberation. On display at the book exhibitions were books, magazines and newspapers dealing with exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the successes made by the Korean army and people in building a powerful socialist nation under the leadership of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. Korean films "Fireworks of a Thriving Nation" and "Pyongyang Today" were shown. The chairman of the Organization for the Study of the Juche Idea of Thailand praised Kim Il Sung as the ardent patriot who built a socialist bulwark, laid firm foundations for building a power and devoted his all to the country and its people. Daughters of internationalist soldier Ya. T. Nobichenko said at the remembrance meeting held in Novosibirsk of Russia that Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un bestowed warm love and care on her father, calling him internationalist soldier, stressing that they would always remember the loving care generation after generation. Personages of various strata from Zamfara, Enugu and other states of Nigeria paid tribute to Kim Il Sung who made tremendous contributions to the independent development of African countries, saying that his exploits would always be remembered by the Korean people and world progressives as the benefactor of Korea's liberation. |
