The root cause of the nuclear issue that spawned on the Korean peninsula and the vicious cycle of tensions lies in the U.S. hostile policy and nuclear threat against the DPRK.

In order to ease the tension and avert dangerous military conflict on the Korean peninsula and in the region, the U.S. should first take a right choice and prove it in action as it introduced lots of nuclear strategic assets around the Korean peninsula and caused a troublesome situation.

But the U.S. and south Korea started the Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military exercise on August 21 by mobilizing lethal war equipment deployed in the U.S. mainland and Pacific operational theatre and the armed forces of seven satellite countries despite our repeated warnings.

The focus of the rehearsal is on the drill for "beheading operation" and "secret operation" to "remove" the supreme headquarters of the DPRK and one for countering the DPRK's ballistic rockets under OPLAN 5015, an aggressive war scenario to carry out preemptive strike against the DPRK.

The U.S. should bear in mind that its military pressure and sanctions are becoming the driving power bolstering the DPRK's nuclear force instead.

Unless a definite end is put to the U.S. hostile policy and nuclear threat, the DPRK will never flinch even an inch from the road of bolstering up the nuclear forces already chosen by itself.
