Rodong Sinmun Urges U.S. to Face up to Trend of Times

Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- The U.S. is expecting some "change" in the DPRK after fabricating the unprecedented harsh "sanctions resolution" against the DPRK by abusing the UN Security Council. Meantime, it is trumpeting about a sort of military option, a revelation of U.S.-style ferocity and aggressive nature as well as the lack of judgment and extreme recklessness. World media vie with each other to report that sanctions on the DPRK will not prove effective, the U.S. military attack will fail and the DPRK's victory in the nuclear stand-off with the U.S. is already set. Rodong Sinmun Friday in a commentary says in this regard: There are ample reasons why world media are critical of the anachronistic nature of the U.S. frantic anti-DPRK sanctions racket and reckless military acts while getting certain about the victory of the DPRK. The sanctions racket against the DPRK has already proven ineffective through history and reality. The U.S. racket for putting sanctions and pressure on the DPRK with an aim at violating the sovereignty of the country and the right to existence of its people is barbarous and brutal unprecedented in history. But the army and people of the DPRK rendered the U.S. and its vassal forces' sanctions racket futile. It is because they have the might to do so. That might is precisely the self-development-first spirit and the single-minded unity of the army and people that can not be found in any other parts of the world. With this great might the DPRK made A-bomb and H-bomb and creatively developed and completed the most powerful ICBM, thus realizing the cherished desire of the nation with history spanning five thousand years. The rhetoric about the military option spelled by the Trump group is nothing but an expression of a rash act inviting self-destruction. The media comment Trump's mouth is a greater threat to the U.S. than the nuclear weapons of the DPRK and that the Trump administration is isolating the U.S., not the DPRK. This is a proper comment. |
