Removal of Tensions on Korean Peninsula Demanded in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- The Ansan Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration held a press conference outside the Ansan City Hall in Kyonggi Province on Aug. 21 to denounce the reckless war drills targeting the north staged by the U.S. imperialists and the puppet war maniacs, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Tongil News. Speakers said that the Ulji Freedom Guardian joint military war exercises are to launch a preemptive attack upon the north, though the drill is described as "defensive". |
