Men's Premier Soccer League for Torch Cup in DPRK

| Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- The men's premier soccer league for Torch Cup, which started at the May Day Stadium in Pyongyang on July 27, reaches its final stage. As the April 25 team, winner of the rotating trophy cup for four consecutive years, participates in the 2017 AFC Cup, this season will witness a new victor. The Ryomyong and Hwaebul teams secured the first and second places in A group and the Sobaeksu and Kigwancha teams in B group respectively. In the semi-finals held on August 23, the Ryomyong team defeated the Kigwancha team by 5:3 and the Sobaeksu team the Hwaebul team by 10:9. The final is slated for August 28, the Youth Day of the country. |
