An endless stream of people visited the plaza in front of the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the sacred temple of Juche, where President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il lie in state.

Art performances were given at the Moranbong Theatre, the Pyongyang Grand Theatre, the National Theatre and the Ponghwa Art Theatre.

Circus shows were given at the Pyongyang Circus Theater and the Magic Theater of the National Acrobatic Troupe to please service personnel and working people.

Art performances were given by artistes of the provincial art troupes at theaters and plazas across the country including South and North Phyongan Provinces, South Hwanghae Province, Jagang Province and South and North Hamgyong Provinces.
