S. Korean Paper Slams U.S. Manipulation of Kwangju Massacres

| Pyongyang, August 27 (KCNA) -- A data was disclosed again that the U.S. manipulated the Chun Doo Hwan military fascist clique in mercilessly killing participants in the Kwangju Uprising, according to the south Korean online paper Voice of People on Aug. 24. As regards the Kwangju Uprising, such fact was disclosed through the document that officials of the U.S. Department of State made a report to its secretary on the items to be decided before the meeting for policy review at the White House on May 22, 1980. The report included that as south Korea twice asked the Combined Command to use the army for cracking down civilians, the command consented to do so. |
