Present there were teachers, researchers, technicians and graduate students in the field, of scientific education and railway transport including Kim Il Sung University, Pyongyang University of Railways, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Railway Institute of the Ministry of Railways and the Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex.

It was divided into electric and IT panels and machine panels. It heard papers on the successes made in design, manufacture and operation of underground electric car and more than 80 valuable papers on solving scientific and technological issues based on them.

There took place a lecture on the trend of the development of the underground flatcar and the system of controlling traction.
