The National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of DR Congo stressed this in an article posted on its website on Aug. 29.

The article said:

Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un authored such works as "Let Us Make a Revolution in Education in the New Century to Glorify Our Country as the One of Education and a Power of Talents" and "On the Basic Tasks Facing Kim Il Sung University in the New Era of the Juche Revolution" to clearly indicate the orientation and ways for putting the education of the country on a fresh higher level, as required by the new era of knowledge-based economy.

He made sure that a decree on the enforcement of the universal 12-year compulsory education was promulgated at the 6th Session of the 12th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, and wisely guided the work to reasonably improve the general secondary education including educational conditions and environment as required by the specific conditions of the country and world trend.

Thanks to his leadership, the universal 12-year compulsory education started in the DPRK.

Higher education system enabling the country to train more able talents has been prepared and remote-controlled education system established to pave a broad avenue to making all the people well versed in science and technology.
