The chief executive of south Korea spouted rhetoric that the history of "the north's nuclear issue" shows only when the "sanctions were accompanied by dialogue there opened a way of settling the issue". At a seminar that followed the work report by the foreign ministry and the unification ministry, he asserted that "the efforts for denuclearization and improvement of the south-north relations have to play a mutually supplementary role".

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in a commentary ridicules this as a foolish action of those who do not know where they stand and as a silly talk that can not work on anyone.

It says:

It is a lesson of history that the south Korean authorities' persistent moves for "solution of the north's nuclear issue" would make the north-south relations complicated and totally bankrupt in the end.

However, they are talking about "simultaneous promotion of the solution of the north's nuclear issue and the development of south-north relations". This is no more than the height of stupidity and ignorance as they fail to understand the cause and essence of the nuclear issue on the Korean peninsula and the main obstacle lying in the way of improving the north-south relations.

The south Korean authorities should stop such wordplays. If they persist in such rhetoric, they would follow in the footsteps of traitor Park Geun Hye who met a miserable end after failing to have proper dialogue with the DPRK during her office.

They should behave themselves, mindful of this.
