The bulletin edited an article under the title "Benevolent father President Kim Il Sung, founder of the DPRK" illustrated with a portrait of the smiling President.

It said:

September 9 is the day marking the 69th founding anniversary of the DPRK.

President Kim Il Sung set forth the line for building a genuine people's power protecting the interests of the working masses and established a people's revolutionary government in the guerrilla base during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.

After the liberation of Korea, he pushed forward the work for building an independent and sovereign state representing the interests of all the Korean people and finally declared the foundation of the DPRK on September 9, 1948.

Under his wise leadership, the army and people of the DPRK defeated the U.S. imperialists boasting of being "the world's strongest" in the Fatherland Liberation War and honorably defended the country's sovereignty and dignity.

And they completed the post-war rehabilitation and construction and carried out the historic task of socialist industrialization in a short period and thus laid a solid foundation for the independent national economy that remains steady even in the world economic upheavals.

The DPRK turned into a socialist country independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence, admired by the world.

The President's feats for the founding of the DPRK and its development will go down in history with today's Korea advancing victoriously.
