Attending the rallies were officials of party and power organs, working people's organizations, industrial establishments, farms and universities and men and officers of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, working people and students.

Congratulatory speeches were made there.

Speakers said that the detonation of the super-powerful thermonuclear weapon ahead of the 69th founding anniversary of the DPRK was a gift of loyalty to President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and an auspicious great national event that instilled confidence and optimism into the army and people of the DPRK.

They stressed that the above-said successful test meant the resolute and just measure for self-defence to cope with the anachronistic hostile policy towards the DPRK being pursued by the U.S. imperialists, sworn enemy of the Korean people.

They expressed their will to give priority to supplying everything necessary for the development of the defence industry by bringing about great innovations in all fields and units, true to the Party's line of simultaneously developing the two fronts, and thus mercilessly smash the aggressive war moves of the U.S. imperialists and their vassal forces.

If the enemy forces move to ignite a war at last, faulting the DPRK's entirely just self-defensive measures for bolstering the nuclear force, the invincible revolutionary Paektusan army will put a definite end to the destiny of the U.S. imperialists through the most merciless preemptive strikes.

Speakers at the rallies called for staging a dynamic struggle to build a socialist power of Juche, a fairyland for people, on this land at an early date, closely united around respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
