Rodong Sinmun Slams Japan's Arms Buildup
Pyongyang, September 8 (KCNA) -- The Japan Ministry of Defense decided to allot the largest-ever 5. 2551 trillion yen for its arms buildup in the 2018 fiscal year. Most of that money will reportedly be spent for buying ship-based interceptor missile SM-3 Block 2A and U.S.-made ground-based missile complex Aegis Usher and developing next-generation radar.

Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Friday says:

Japan's arms buildup is just a revelation of its sinister design to realize at any cost its old dream of "Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere" by giving spur to militarization and preparations for overseas invasion with the backing of the U.S.

The reckless moves of the Japanese reactionaries are adding fuel to armament race in Northeast Asia and aggravating the unstable regional situation.

Neighboring countries are heightening their vigilance against Japan's moves.

If Japan fails to come to reason and persist in foolhardy acts with the backing of the U.S., it will face unimaginably terrible disaster as a target of attack by other countries.

Like a bolt from blue, disaster or misfortune may come any moment. If the Japanese ruling quarters are mindful of the security of Japan, they should refrain from arms buildup.

It will be too late for it to regret once it is hit hard.
