Present there were Chairman Ho Jong Man and vice-chairpersons of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), its department directors, chairpersons of its Kanto branch headquarters, leading officials of the organizations and enterprises under it and Korean businessmen.

Japanese personages in political, economic, media, social and cultural circles, members of foreign embassies in Japan, representatives of international bodies and correspondents of foreign media were invited to the event.

There witnessed in our homeland many successes in the drive for improving the people's standard of living and bolstering the nuclear deterrent for self-defence under the guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un this year that marks the 105th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and the 75th birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il, the chairman noted, and went on:

The U.S. has pursued policy hostile to the DPRK and attempted to mount a nuclear attack on it. This just pushed the DPRK to develop its nukes and rocket.

The present regime of south Korea which appeared thanks to the popular candlelight resistance is taking a two-faced stand as it asks the neighboring countries to impose harsher sanctions on the DPRK while talking about dialogue with it.

The Japanese regime should not add fuel to tensions by persisting in putting pressure on the DPRK but implement the Stockholm Agreement in the spirit of the DPRK-Japan Pyongyang Declaration in order to tackle the issues pending solution between the two countries.
