Now the hotel is crowded with Taekwon-Do players and fans from different countries and regions of the world to participate in the 20th World Taekwon-Do Championships.

It serves foreign dishes as well as well-known Korean foods like sinsollo (dish in cooking brazier), kimchi and Pyongyang cold noodle.

When interviewed by KCNA, Song Hye Gyong, an official of the hotel, said:

The 30-storied hotel was opened on May 1, Juche 78 (1989) and reconstructed in October 2015. It has contributed to the sports development of the country and sports exchange with various countries.
