Kim Yu Song, Forward of April 25 Sports Team

| Pyongyang, September 18 (KCNA) -- A talented forward good in scoring has emerged at the football circles of the DPRK. He is Kim Yu Song, a football player of the April 25 Sports Team. He is regarded as a "threatening player" in the defence position of the other team. Kim scored 15 goals in total at 9 international games this year. He scored five goals at the match between the April 25 Team and the Mongolia's Erchim team on March 14 and nine goals in four rounds of group league matches at the 2017 AFC Cup. He played a big role to win the DPRK team's qualification for the 2018 AFC U-23 Championship. He got four goals in three matches at the preliminary of the championship held in Pyongyang from July 19 to 23. The DPRK team belonging to Group B for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup qualification recorded three goals in two matches. Two of them were scored by him. According to experts, he has a good physical fitness and is quick in movement. Correct judgment and position option are his good points. He was selected as the top scorer in premier league football matches of the Mangyongdae Prize Sports Games last year. |
