Rodong Sinmun Slams S. Korean Regime's Sycophantic and Treacherous Proclivity

Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the chief executive of south Korea, met with Abe during an international meeting abroad and called for "close relations" between both sides over "ceaseless provocations by the north", asserting that it is needed to put the harshest sanctions and pressure upon the north for stop to its nuclear and missile program." He also cried out for improved relations with Japan, talking about "stable management" of the past history and "forward-looking and practical exchange and cooperation". Rodong Sinmun Wednesday in a commentary says that this brings to light the sinister intention to stand in confrontation with the DPRK to the last in collusion with outside forces as it reveals the inveterate sycophantic and treacherous nature of the puppet ruling forces who readily cling to sworn enemy if they could prolong their remaining days. To invade the DPRK backed by the U.S. and Japan is a long-pursued scheme of the south Korean puppet regimes, including the present ruling quarters, it says, adding: They are strengthening the political and military tie-ups while clinging to the coattails of the Japanese reactionaries despite disgrace. It is a treachery of hastening the formation of U.S.-led triangular military alliance and plunging south Korea into the moves for the U.S. Asia strategy and war moves against the DPRK. No matter how eagerly they may beg the U.S. and Japan for "security," south Korea will be thrown into a miserable and pitiful position where they have to pay dearly. The south Korean authorities should behave with discretion, mindful of the lesson that their sycophancy and collusion with outside forces will lead to a war and a miserable end will await them. |
