Peerlessly Great Men's Loving Care for Choe Hong Hui
Pyongyang, September 20 (KCNA) -- The 20th Taekwon-Do World Championships is going on with splendor at the Taekwon-Do Hall in Pyongyang. Recently, the hall was remodeled as the center of the national martial arts thanks to the meticulous guidance of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

The Korean people recollect Choe Hong Hui, ex-president of the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) who contributed to cause of Korea's reunification in the spirit of the nation, as well as Taekwon-do, orthodox martial art of the Korean nation, under the care of the peerlessly great men.

Choe had once taken the wrong way and aimed a gun at the compatriots. He was in remorse and agony while living overseas. At that time, President Kim Il Sung embraced him, taking into consideration his patriotic seed.

When Choe visited the country after naming orthodox martial art of the Korean nation Taekwon-do and founding the ITF, Kim Il Sung highly praised him, saying it was the great pride of the Korean nation that Choe developed the ITF into an organization of worldwide significance as its president.

And he clapped his hands before all others to the appearance of the Taekwon-Do program in the mass gymnastics held in celebration of the 13th World Festival of Youth and Students, and introduced Choe "the head of Taekwon-Do" to high-level guests including the head of state of other country.

Leader Kim Jong Il made sure that he visited the country frequently as he wanted to contribute to national reunification with Taekwon-do, encouraged him to proudly take the road of patriotism.

He had a photo session with Choe when he visited the country in October Juche 89 (2000) and met his wishes to have the headquarters of the International Martial Arts Games Committee in Pyongyang.

When Choe passed away, Kim Jong Il saw to it that a large funeral for him was held and sent a wreath to his bier, saying he took the patriotic road in his late years and that it was too natural that his remains were buried in the Patriotic Martyrs Cemetery.

Indeed, Choe Hong Hui is always alive under the care of the peerlessly great men who led all members of the nation to the patriotic road for reunification with their noble idea of loving the country and nation, warm compatriotism and noble virtues.
