An "executive committee of all citizens' activities against Abe's revision of article 9 of the constitution" was formed in Tokyo Metropolis on Sept. 4.

On contrary to this, Ishiba, ex-chief secretary of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, on Sep. 5 said in a lecture that the existence of the "Self-Defense Forces" should be specified in the constitution.

This goes to prove that the conflict between political circles and the public mindset in Japan is festering over the revision of the constitution, says Rodong Sinmun Thursday in a commentary. It goes on:

Now the Japanese political circle has turned extremely reactionary and ultra-rightist, going against the public mindset to reduce the "Pacifist Constitution" to a war constitution.

The Japanese reactionaries' goal is to take revenge for their past failure by realizing their old dream "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere", and herein lies the real reason for scrambling to stipulate the existence of the "SDF" in article 9 of the constitution.

When the articles prohibiting Japan's access to war forces and right of belligerency are removed, what is happening? It is just the permission of reinvasion.

It is the essence of the racket for the constitutional revision to turn the "SDF" into the Japanese army which used to invade other countries, seized by a daydream "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere", and hurl the forces into reinvasion.

The moves for the retrogressive revision of the constitution are not just for simple modification of phrases, and this issue is directly linked to the future of Japan and peace in the Asia-Pacific region. That's why other Asian countries and nations are very vigilant against such moves of Japan. The Japanese people, too, are strongly opposed to the revision.

Reinvasion precisely means a doom for Japan, an island country island nation.
