Present there were scientists, researchers, teachers, technicians and field-officials of science and education institutions and industrial establishments, including the State Academy of Sciences, Institute of Agricultural Science, Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Hamhung University of Chemical Industry, the Chollima Steel Complex, the Musan Mining Complex and the Pukchang Thermal Power Complex.

Presented were more than 350 papers of hypothesis and ideas conducive to putting the national economy including electricity, metal, chemistry, coal and railway transport on a Juche-oriented, modern and scientific basis, and developing core basic technologies such as information engineering, Nano technology and bionics.

There was a lecture on the development of C One chemical industry.
