Many People of DPRK Volunteer to Join in Army
Pyongyang, September 28 (KCNA) -- The citizens in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea have turned out in a sacred war for defending the leader and socialism with their unshakable will to wipe out to the last the U.S. imperialists who are running amuck to "totally destroy" the DPRK.

According to data available, more than 4.7 youths and students and working citizens across the country volunteered to join or rejoin in the Korean People's Army in a matter of six days after the announcement of the statement of Kim Jong Un, chairman of the DPRK State Affairs Commission.

Young people across the country vowed to take the lead in the final battle against the U.S.

Youths and students held meetings to join or rejoin in the army, writing in their petitions such slogans as "The great brilliant commander issued a thunder-like order to annihilate the enemies," "Let us blow up the U.S. empire of evils with five million nuclear bombs!" and "Let us annihilate all the American lunatics running amuck like tiger moth!"

More than 1.79 million youths and students from workplaces and campuses volunteered to join or rejoin in the military service.

In three days alone after the announcement of the respected Supreme Leader's statement, at least 120 000 working youth in North Phyongan Province and over 97 000 in South Hwanghae Province volunteered to join or rejoin in the army. More young people in the country vow to join or rejoin in the army with each passing day, including those at the Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex, the Pukchang Area Youth Coal Mining Complex and the Chollima Steel Complex.

An increasing number of university students vowed to join in the military service, including those of Kim Il Sung University, Ri Su Bok Sunchon University of Chemical Engineering and Hwangnam University of Technology.

Even many women from all walks of life volunteered to join or rejoin in the army. The number of them has reached to 1.22 million so far.
