According to an official concerned, over 1.22 million women petitioned to be allowed to join or rejoin the Korean People's Army with a will to wipe out on the earth the U.S. imperialists keen on "totally destroying" the DPRK, and the number of volunteers is on the daily increase.

In this regard, Jong Ok Sun, a resident in Rangnang District of Pyongyang who volunteered for service in the army, told KCNA:

After occupying south Korea over 70 years ago, the U.S. imperialists have remained unchanged in their war drills against the DPRK and desperate moves to isolate and stifle it, not content with plunging the whole Korean nation into a holocaust of the Korean war.

The prevailing situation makes me keenly realize the ultimate goal of the U.S. imperialists is to totally destroy not only the territory, property, ideology and system of the DPRK but also all its peace-loving people.

I am very eager to mercilessly shoot to death all those U.S. mad dogs running amuck to harm my happy family and lovely children.

Kim Hye Gyong, a resident in Nampho City, said:

Two years ago, I gave a birth to triplets at Pyongyang Maternity Hospital. Seeing my triplets growing up healthily thanks to the loving care of the Workers' Party of Korea and the state, I have refreshed my will to devote myself to our blessed socialist country.

It is my only faith to do my best in defending my country as a proud mother.
