S. Korea: Rights of Trade Unions Demanded
Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- According to the south Korean online newspaper Jaju Sibo, the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions held a news conference outside Chongwadae on September 28, demanding the rights of trade unions.

In a press release, the Confederation said that guarantee of the trade unions' rights, the revision of labor law and the conversion of part-time jobs into full-time jobs are tasks for turning the south Korean society into that of respect for labor.

It urged the authorities to ensure the three rights of part-time workers to labor, make them full-time workers, repeal the decisions on punishing labor activists and outlawing the teachers union and the government employees' union and take steps to reinstate discharged workers in the public service sector and stop the long-time labor.
