Battery Alternating-current Car Developed in DPRK
Pyongyang, October 2 (KCNA) -- A new type of battery AC tramcars began running at the Tukjang Area Coal-Mining Complex in the DPRK to be conducive to boosting coal production.

The new battery AC tramcar is more than 1.3 times higher than the existing DC tramcar in haulage and is very flexible in starting, braking and regulating speed.

And it is very fast to recharge its batteries.

In this regard, Jon Jong Su, an official of the Ministry of Coal Industry, told KCNA that a series of sci-tech achievements have been made one after another to give impetus to the development of coal industry, despite of the heinous sanctions put by the U.S. imperialists and other hostile forces upon the DPRK and their provocation against it.
