L. Shukolinikov, chairman of the Permanent Standing Committee of the Belarus National Association of Friends of Korean People Named after Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to give wide publicity to the great exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in founding and consolidating the WPK and to organize colorful political and cultural events.
