S. Korean Body Calls for Defending Peace

| Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- The Taejon Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration held an emergency press interview before the Taejon City Office on Sept. 28 at which it called for national cooperation for peace against war, according to the south Korean internet paper Tongil News. Speakers said the U.S. is to blame for the acute military tension on the Korean peninsula. What the candle-light demonstrators demand is not a war bringing death but peace defending the life of the people, they noted. A press release was read out. At the end of the press interview the participants launched a demonstration opposing war and THAAD and demanding the conclusion of a peace agreement. |
