Technology of Recycling City Sewage Developed

| Pyongyang, October 5 (KCNA) -- Scientists of the Natural Energy Institute under the DPRK State Academy of Sciences have recently succeeded in developing the technology of recycling city sewage and introduced it into producing electric power, nutrient solution for plants and organic fertilizer. It has been applied to some vegetable greenhouses, proving highly effective. In particular, the soilless cultivation of vegetables with nutrient solution and organic fertilizer makes it possible to produce 1.5 times more vegetables than the soil cultivation. In recent years, the DPRK has made noteworthy achievements in its efforts to develop technologies of recycling urban waste and sewage. |
