Though he passed away, the DPRK people have been proud of upholding him as the eternal general secretary of the WPK.

Because, he developed the WPK into a revolutionary party in which the ideological and leadership system of the leader is thoroughly established, the motherly party forming a harmonious whole with the popular masses and serving them and the invincible party with strong discipline and combat capability.

After starting his work at the Central Committee of the WPK, he formulated the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung as Kimilsungism and set out the programme for modeling the whole society on Kimilsungism to indicate the guiding idea and action program to be adhered to by the revolutionary party in the era of independence.

He advanced the line of modeling the whole party on Kimilsungism and energetically led the struggle for its realization and thus brought about a radical turn in its organizational and ideological construction and leadership art. Under his energetic guidance, the WPK turned into an integral whole knitted together in ideological and organizational aspects and action, closely united around the leader.

He put forward the slogan "We Serve the People!" and made a long journey of ceaseless field guidance for building a thriving country.

His outstanding political caliber was fully displayed in strengthening the WPK into a guiding force of Songun (military-first) revolution.

Kim Jong Il saw to it that the party and the revolutionary ranks have been developed into elite forces with the Korean People's Army as the core and opened up the unique path for pushing ahead with the revolution and construction by dint of Songun political mode. This is a noteworthy event which has been unprecedented in the history of building socialist ruling party.

The feats performed by Kim Jong Il in developing the WPK into an ever-victorious revolutionary party has been creditably carried forward by respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

It is the steadfast faith of the DPRK army and people that the eternal mightiness of the WPK and victory in the cause of building a socialist power lie in upholding the leadership of Kim Jong Un under the uplifted banner of great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.
