Brazilians Support DPRK
Pyongyang, October 9 (KCNA) -- A demonstration supporting the DPRK was staged outside the U.S. consulate general in Sao Paulo of Brazil on September 30.

Taking part in it were figures of the Brazilian Center for the Study of Songun Politics and masses from different walks of life.

The demonstrators condemned the U.S. hostile policy and aggressive threat against the DPRK which is struggling to defend its rights to existence and independent development, holding flags of the DPRK and Brazil and placards carrying such letters as "No imperialist interference in national sovereignty."

They expressed their opposition to all sorts of anti-DPRK sanctions and pressure and urged the U.S. to opt for detente on the Korean peninsula and conclusion of a peace treaty with the DPRK.

On the same day, the Brazilian Center for the Study of Songun Politics posted the following article on its homepage together with photos showing the demonstration:

The demonstration focused on the issue of ensuring peace on the Korean peninsula.

The DPRK has steadily built up the self-defensive military capability to cope with any war.

We deem it as a primary duty in building a peaceful, just and independent world to struggle against the imperialist aggression.

The Brazilian people showed through the demonstration that they would never remain an onlooker to the U.S. aggression and war moves being committed in all parts of the world.
