KCNA Commentary Hits S. Korean Authorities' Thoughtless Confrontation Deeds
|
|
Pyongyang, October 9 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities are trumpeting about "dialogue in parallel with enforcement of sanctions and pressure". The chief executive of south Korea, when meeting with representatives of four ruling and opposition parties on September 27, called for "leaving the room of dialogue while putting pressure on the north through cooperation with the U.S." On September 30 and on October 1 he let Chongwadae spokesman and others state that "dialogue is pushed forward together with sanctions and pressure" and "sanctions and pressure do not contradict dialogue and negotiations". In his "commemorative speech for marking August 15" earlier, he let out a litany of clumsy explanations that "the goal of sanctions and pressure on the north is to lead it to dialogue, not to tighten military tension". This is just senseless rubbish of confrontation-minded lunatics who fail to know how to use words of dialogue and confrontation. The present south Korean authorities' "north policy" is an intolerable confrontation-oriented policy which is just a replica of the U.S. policy for putting sanctions and pressure on the north as it calls for "parallel enforcement of dialogue and pressure" under the pretext of the "solution of the north's nuclear issue". After the DPRK's H-bomb test, the U.S. rigged up the harshest anti-DPRK "sanctions resolution" by setting in motion the UN hand-raising machines. And the south Korean puppet forces "supported and welcomed it", while taking "diverse diplomatic measures" pursuant to the UN "sanctions resolution" and crying out for drafting high-intensity "independent sanctions". In the meantime, they begged the American master to lift the restriction on the warhead weight of the ballistic missiles and staged joint military exercises after introducing the nuclear strategic bombers and Stealth fighters of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces in a bid to threaten the DPRK. The puppet forces have gone more frantic than before in their moves to stifle the DPRK in collusion with outsiders while describing the "north's nuclear weapons as the greatest challenge" and calling for "putting to use all means like sanctions and pressure" for the "solution of the north's nuclear issue". Yet, they are trumpeting about "dialogue", an expression of the height of impudence. The catastrophic situation of the north-south relations is an inevitable product of the racket for confrontation with the fellow countrymen kicked up by the puppet ruling forces keen on putting sanctions and pressure on the DPRK in collusion with outsiders, behind the scene even though they call for "dialogue" outwardly. The nuclear issue is the one between the DPRK and the U.S. and it can never see a solution as long as the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK and the nuclear blackmail and threat continue. The nuclear deterrence of the DPRK is not a bargaining chip to be put on any dialogue or negotiating table, and we will never discuss the nuclear issue with the south Korean puppet forces. The present puppet authorities are keen on currying favor with such lunatics as Trump who openly calls for totally destroying the DPRK. It is a pipe dream for them to pursue dialogue and contacts aimed at forcing the DPRK to disarm itself. Sanctions and dialogue can never go together. |
