Among those present were Chairman Ho Jong Man of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Kang Chu Ryon, vice-chairwoman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee and chairwoman of the Central Standing Committee of the Union, and Han Tong Song, director of the Organizational Department of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee.

A congratulatory message from respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un was conveyed at the meeting.

Then introduced was a congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea.

In the wake of Ho Jong Man's congratulatory address, Kang Chu Ryon made a report to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers said the 70-year history of the UDKWJ is a history of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il's wise guidance and benevolent love, recalling that the Union and Korean women in Japan have covered the road of patriotism under the warm care of the great Generalissimos and respected Marshal Kim Jong Un over the past years.

They stressed the need for all the union officials and Korean women in Japan to creditably carry out the tasks set forth in Kim Jong Un's congratulatory message and thus make new leap forward and innovations and usher in a new heyday of the Korean women's movement in Japan in the great era of Kim Jong Un.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
