Meeting Held to Mark Anniversaries of Revolutionary Schools
Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- Mangyongdae Revolutionary School and Kang Pan Sok Revolutionary School marked their 70th founding anniversaries.

President Kim Il Sung personally designated the site for the former under a plan for building the school for children of the revolutionary martyrs after Korea's liberation and declared its founding on Oct. 12, Juche 36 (1947).

Anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk made sure that the statue of the President was erected at the school for the first time in Korea and instilled into the hearts of the children of the revolutionary martyrs the faith that they should only believe in and follow the President.

Leader Kim Jong Il visited the venue of the opening ceremony of the school together with the President and Kim Jong Suk 70 years ago and since then gave field guidance to the two schools dozens of times to develop the schools into the highest seats of training the children of the revolutionary martyrs, where a revolutionary outlook on the leader was firmly established.

A commemoration meeting was held at April 25 House of Culture on Thursday.

Present there were Vice Marshal of the Korean People's Army Hwang Pyong So, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and director of the KPA General Political Bureau, Pak Kwang Ho and Thae Jong Su, members of the Political Bureau and vice-chairmen of the C.C., WPK, anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters Kim Chol Man and Ri Yong Suk and officials, teaching staff and students of the schools and their graduates.

A congratulatory message of the C.C., WPK to the teaching staff and students of the schools was conveyed at the meeting.

The message said the teaching staff, students and graduates of the schools have firmly safeguarded the Party and the leader in the van in the annals of victory and glory, learning from the tradition of loyalty and example of defending the leader unto death which were created in the forests of Mt Paektu and displayed in the war flames by the revolutionary forerunners.

The WPK Central Committee is convinced that all the teaching staff, students and graduates of the schools will creditably play a leading role in the sacred struggle for the final victory of the Juche revolution as befitting the revolutionary soldiers of the great Kim Il Sung's and Kim Jong Il's Korea who have grown up learning the revolutionary spirit of Paektu and soul of Mangyongdae, the message noted.

Hwang Pyong So said in a report that the two schools are the revolutionary schools of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un, which were born and developed under their care, and the eternal embrace of love for the children of the revolutionary martyrs.

The schools have trained the children to be sons and daughters of Mangyongdae and Paektusan for the past 70 years under the leadership and loving care of the great persons, the reporter noted.

Thanks to such backbones intensely loyal to the Party's cause as graduates from the schools, the Korean revolution is always emerging victorious under the banner of socialism despite all ordeals and hardships of history, he stressed.

Then followed speeches.

The speakers renewed the resolve to carry through the tasks set forth in the congratulatory message of the Party Central Committee and reliably shoulder the future of the great era of Kim Jong Un by firmly preserving the lifeline of the Juche revolution.
