DPRK's Significant Days Celebrated Abroad

Pyongyang, October 13 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries to mark the 20th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's election as the general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and its 72nd birthday. Celebration meetings and book and photo exhibitions were held in Switzerland, Finland, Denmark, Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Czech Republic on October 5 and 7. On display at their venues were photos showing the exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and the revolutionary activities of respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un. There were also works of the peerlessly great men of Mt Paektu and books and photos introducing the reality of the DPRK. The chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee said that the WPK, founded by Kim Il Sung, built independent and popular, Korean-style socialism under the banner of the Juche idea. The international secretary of the Finnish Communists' League and the chairman of the Finland-Korea Society said that the WPK could lead the Korean people only to victory and glory for more than 70 years thanks to the distinguished leadership of Comrades Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un. The chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association noted that Kim Il Sung advanced the unique idea of party building and realized the historic cause of founding the Party. The chairman of the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK stressed that the DPRK has turned into an invincible power under the guidance of the WPK led by Kim Jong Un. The chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-"Kyrgyz El" Republican Political Party said that the history of the WPK is a brilliant history of experienced and seasoned leadership with which it has led the revolution and construction only along the road of victory and glory under the guidance of the great leaders. The general secretary of the C.C., Czechoslovak Communist Party hoped that the Party and the people of the DPRK would make greater successes, foiling the vicious challenges of the U.S. and its vassal forces. Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events in Switzerland, Finland, Denmark and Russia. |
