U.S. Withdrawal from UNESCO under Fire

Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- The U.S. recently decided to leave UNESCO (the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), since the U.S. owes the organization hundreds of millions of US dollars and the body is getting more critical of Israel. This is the height of the extreme U.S.-style egoism, arrogance and immorality, Rodong Sinmun Monday says in a commentary, adding:

Now the U.S. is making much trouble in the planet while resorting to wars and man-killing in different parts of the world and threatening and blackmailing other countries. Not content with this, it withdrew from UNESCO. Therefore it is left without any justification to talk about international peace, security and civilization.

The fanatic idea and forces disturbing global peace and civilization and threatening existence of human being have no qualification to exist in the civilized society of mankind and so they should be expelled from it.

All the countries of the world desirous of independence, justice, peace and development should never allow high-handed and arbitrary practice of the U.S. unhesitatingly committing all kinds of evils under the slogan of "America first".

Nothing can justify the U.S. withdrawal from UNESCO.
