Speakers referred to the theme of World Food Day this year, saying that this event would be a good occasion in discussing the measures to meet the daily growing demand for food in a sustainable way.

They noted that the DPRK set it as a top-priority task to solve the food problem, concentrating all efforts it.

They stressed the need to further boost exchange and cooperation with international bodies and organizations in the field of agricultural production.

Prior to the event, members of the missions of FAO, UNDP, WFP and WHO did assistance work on a farm around Pyongyang on the occasion of World Food Day.
