Ssirum Contest Held in DPRK

| Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- A ssirum (Korean wrestling) contest was held in Pyongyang recently for six days as part of the DPRK Championships. At the contest, young players caught the visitors' eyes with bolt tripping, hoe tripping, belly throw and other skills. The Amnokgang Sports Team took the first place in the team event, six body-weight events and above 75kg catch-weight event, thus bagging eight gold medals out of 12. Four gold medals went to the Kigwancha Sports Team, the Pyongyang Sports Team, the Waudo Sports Team and the Suyangsan Sports Team. |
