Kim Kyong Yong, Promising Female Footballer of DPRK

Pyongyang, October 19 (KCNA) -- "With only five years of playing experience under her belt, Kim Kyong Yong may well be a name that becomes synonymous with women's football in Asia for many years to come." This is an article posted by the Asian Football Confederation on its website. Kim Kyong Yong, a forward of the DPRK team, rendered distinguished services to winning the 2017 AFC U-16 Women's Championship the third after 2007 and 2015, claiming the admiration of experts. She scored five goals in the first match with the Bangladesh team in group league matches. She scored nine goals in five matches and was awarded the best player and top scorer prizes in the championship. Former chief coach Song Sung Gwon told KCNA that fast speed, quick movement, correct judgment and position option are her good points. Kim distinguished herself in the EAFF U-15 Girls Tournament held in April. She scored five goals in three matches. |
