The bulletin said:

More than 90 years have passed since President Kim Il Sung, the founder of socialist Korea, formed the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU).

He embarked upon the road of revolution in his teens to save the destiny of the country and nation from the rule of the Japanese imperialists and formed the DIU with revolutionaries of younger generation.

The formation of the DIU on October 17, 1926 was a historic event that declared the new start of the Korean revolution.

Since then the Korean revolution has made long strides.

The bulletin elaborated on the feats of Kim Il Sung for the liberation of Korea and the victory in the war, and noted that the Korean people had successfully carried out the post-war rehabilitation and socialist construction.

It also said that leader Kim Jong Il had firmly defended socialism and laid a solid foundation for building a thriving nation under the banner of Songun.

Today the Korean people under the leadership of HE Kim Jong Un are steadily advancing along the road of independence, Songun and socialism and speeding up the building of a prosperous and powerful country while getting full readiness for the final battle against the U.S. imperialists, the bulletin said, stressing:

Victory and glory are always in store for the Korean revolution started with the formation of the DIU.
