Pyongyang, October 21 (KCNA) -- Commentaries of the DPRK's leading papers Saturday condemn the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces for going reckless in military provocation to threaten the DPRK by introducing the nuclear assets into the Korean peninsula. They launched the largest-ever joint naval maneuver in the East and West Seas of Korea under the pretext of "improving the capability of carrying out a joint operation". Involved in the war games were the U.S. nuclear carrier Ronald Reagan strike group and Michigan and other two nuclear subs and more than 40 warships and fighters of various missions including Aegis destroyers. Rodong Sinmun comments that they are driving the situation of the Korean peninsula into the touch-and-go situation through such DPRK-targeted joint drills. The prevailing situation fully reveals the true colors of war-thirsty U.S. and south Korean puppet forces as they are getting frantic with the move to start a nuclear war, disturbing the peace and security in the Korean peninsula and the rest of Northeast Asia, the daily says, and goes on: The adventurous action of the U.S. imperialists to provoke a nuclear war against the DPRK, threatening it by force of arms, has reached its climax. It is a daydream for the U.S. to try to threaten and frighten the DPRK to make it stop bolstering up the state nuclear force. No matter how desperately they may work, the DPRK will never stop it but accomplish it without fail. Minju Joson says that the army and people of the DPRK will clearly show the world and history how the trigger-happy forces will meet their doom through the final victory in the standoff with the U.S. |
