Rodong Sinmun Slams S. Korean Authorities' Confrontational Policy
|

Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- Voices denouncing the south Korean authorities' "policy toward the north", being pursuant to the U.S. moves to stifle the DPRK are getting louder in south Korea, says Rodong Sinmun Sunday in an article, citing facts. It goes on: The "policy toward the north" touted by the south Korean authorities is the one of destroying the inter-Korean relations from A to Z as it is a product of sinister ambition to stifle the compatriots in the north in collusion with outside forces. The present puppet ruling forces are taking the positive advantage of the U.S. sanctions and pressure against the north while asserting that the Trump administration's policy toward the DPRK characterized by "maximum pressure and engagement" is in good harmony with their "policy toward the north". "Simultaneously pushing ahead sanctions and pressure and dialogue" touted by them is just extremely contradictory and absurd sophism. Their talking about "dialogue" while following the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK and positively joining in the moves to slap sanctions and pressure against the latter is an impudent act of deceiving the public opinion in a bid to cover up their confrontational nature and attitude servile to the U.S. and justify the moves to ignite a nuclear war against the north. In fact, the puppet authorities, crying out that the "north's access to nuclear weapons can never be allowed", are desperately cooperating in the U.S. moves to ignite a nuclear war against the north. Servitude to the U.S., sanctions and pressure can never go together with the improved inter-Korean relations and dialogue. If the south Korean authorities go reckless, while dancing to the tune of their master U.S. and the conservative group, they will invite horrible disaster, far from the improved inter-Korean relations. They should draw a due lesson from the collapse of the inter-Korean relations caused by the anachronistic "policy toward the north" and take the road of making a switchover in their policy. This is the demand of the people from all walks of life in south Korea. |
