Minju Joson on Objective and Principle of UN
Pyongyang, October 24 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson Tuesday dedicates an article to the Day of the United Nations.

Referring to the circumstances of the UN foundation, the article says:

For at least seven decades after the birth of the UN, wars, disputes, armed conflicts and state terrorist acts have been ceaselessly occurred in different parts of the world against the expectation and desire of humankind for peace, and a logic of strength denying the sovereignty and equality in international relations has been connived at.

The member states of the UNSC including the U.S. have abused the UN as tool for realizing their interests through their privileged position in the UN.

As regards the Korean War, the name of UNSC was abused by the U.S. in the 1950s and the UNSC had never taken issue with the U.S. which has posed a nuclear threat to the DPRK for more than half a century. But it termed the DPRK's measures to bolster its self-defensive nuclear force as "a threat to world peace and security" and cooked up illegal and unreasonable "resolutions" one after another.

The arbitrary practice of the U.S., which has wantonly violated the UN Charter to use the UN for its dominationist aims for over seven decades, is getting worse after its president said that he would "totally destroy" a full-fledged UN member state in the sacred UN arena.

It is quite natural that the UN objective and principle have been trampled down, giving disappointment to the mankind desirous of peace as ignorant U.S., ringleader of aggression and war, still remains a member state of the UNSC.

The UN should fully discharge its mission and role as required by the times aspiring independence and the desire of mankind for peace and development.
